Obituary of Albert Schmitt

Schmitt, Albert Louis Passed away peacefully at his home in Orillia following a short courageous battle with cancer on Monday September 21st, 2015 in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Marion (nee Schmidt) of 56 years. Loving father of Tim (John), Tom, Karen, and Laurie. Predeceased by his special son Johnny. Cherished grandfather of Christine (Spencer), Amanda (James), and Alicia; proud papa of Daxyn, and Maddison. Special friend of Wayne Lalonde. Dear brother of Roy (Velma); predeceased by his siblings Helen, Brian, Betty, George, and Beverley. Albert is a past Auxiliary member of the Orillia City Police and is a retired Ambulance Attendant (paramedic). Albert will be lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and fondly remembered by former co-workers form the Orillia base. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia on Friday September 25th, from 2-4 p.m. & 7- 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday September 26th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Andrew's ~ St. James' Cemetery Orillia.
