Our deepest condolences to the Mendez family . In 2004 - 2012 Rod and Kathie along with Cole were our neighbors.Although this was only our cottage we spent countless campfires together. We all became friends and we had the pleasure of sharing family get togethers. Rod was a good natured man . He was kind and generous and always willing to help. He was funny at times. I remember asking him one Saturday where Kathie was and he replied out looking at garage sales to buy some more junk and then he would laugh. Rod’s smile was contagious. We will miss him dearly. R.I.P.

My deepest condolences to Kathie, Cole and the whole extended Mendez family. I have known Rod from his passion for music. I first met him at concerts or the Orillia Spring Blues Festival, and his support of artists and musicians in general was always appreciated. Personally, he always had an encouraging word to say to me, and beamed with joy at being out with friends and Kathie. Someone who loves music so much is usually a fine person and someone who is in touch with the un-expressable. Rod is free now from suffering and free from all life’s struggles. But we all will never be free from his warm heart and smile. Rest In Peace Rodney Sincerely Lance Anderson, Kathy Hunt and the Anderson family.
