Dear Sandra, Johanne, Janis, John Jr. and all the grandchildren and great grandchildren: You are such an amazing family and I am so blessed to have known each one of you in a special way. You were able to honour John Sr. wishes to remain at home and took such good care of him. He knew how much he was loved. John Sr. was an exceptional man who loved his family more than anything else. He worked hard all his life, always giving of his time to those he loved. Over the years, he never lost his sense of humour or ability to make everyone he met feel welcome. Everything he did was done to perfection and he took great pride in his work. He really cared about people in a way that changed my life, just by knowing him. He was a rich man in so many ways, thanks to the love and support he got from his family. Over the years he struggled but never gave up. That is one of the many things I loved about him. He taught me to be strong. To each one of you I send my love and prayers. You will remain forever close to my heart. Love Patti xxxooo

Papa I just want to say that i am going to miss you so much, I'm going to miss the good times we had and the sing songs you and my mom and even my Gran would sing when she came to visit. I remember times at Lesons when i would be downstairs helping making the boxes. Anyways most of all i will miss how caring and lovable and warm you were, I will miss your big hugs and kisses and the odd time you would lick my face lol.
Oh and i don't know if any of us would remember the weird thing papa did but he would pretend that there was a boogie in our noise and pick it put it in his pocket and say he was saving it till he made a big bouncy ball with it, papa you were always full of jokes and made us all smile and you sure have a spot in all our hearts forever
I love you and will miss you always and forever papa xoxoxox

Dad I have a Life time of great memories that u have left me with.
Ones I will cherrish Forever.
From the moments you would get me up on your hands while lieing on the floor and making me balance. To the trips to High Park.. and the great childhood I had.
To the days of Leeson's Foods when you would take me out on deliveries as a very young girl.
would be so excited when you would take me to the bowling alley to watch your team bowl.
Such a Hard working man you were and a social butterfly.
Not to mention such a great provider..it wasn't all about you ..the words you would say to me "As long as your Mom and you's are ok " I'm ok..
Dad I could go on Forever... but it's time to let you rest.
It was such a pleasure, tho frustrating at times..but a great honour to look after you when you couldn't do things for yourself.
I Fullfilled your Wish to let you go at home, now it's time to let you rest.
I Love ya Daddio
Will Miss You Terribly but now it's your turn to watch over me and out for me once again..
Love Always and Forever Jo-Jo

Johanne, Janis, Sandra, and the family; I feel very appreciative that I was able to know this amazing man. Johnny thinks so highly of his grandfather and would tell me all these stories about him, and everything Johnny had told me was exactly how John was. He made me feel like apart of the family. I remember the first thing he said to Johnny when he introduced me to grandpa "you know Johnny, that's illegal" and once he realized how old I actually was made it a lot better. Every time I would go over he would give me a hug he would say "you're so beautiful babe" and sometimes tell me I smelt really nice which in some cases would be after work and I would smell like subs so that made me feel a little better. He also told me he loved me every time i'd go over which is why his passing is even very hard on me. He will always be with you guys, and I bet he is so proud of all of you for handling this tough time so well. I'm extremely thankful to have known this incredible family and incredible man I don't think ill be able to stress it enough how thankful I really am. I love you all very much, and i'll see everybody tomorrow/Saturday. Stay strong everyone and I hope you know i'll be here for everyone even if you just need a hug or someone to talk to. Yours Truly, Kathryn Folkes

Sandra,Joanne,Janice and Family: Where do I start....I have such fond memories of our childhood which greatly surrounded around your family and The Pork Store. I often tell stories of your dad teaching us how to make sausage from scratch, and how we pretended to run the store after hours. We go back a lot of years and yet it feels like only yesterday that we were all together, hanging around St. Clair and Silverthorn. May your memories help you get through this most difficult time. My very sincere condolences to your family. Kim
