so sorry to loose a good and loving man. Bert was my mentor/hero in my formative years. He gave me myfirst job at his gasstation in T.O. taught me about life and occasionly kicked my A-- when needed. Over the years as I grew older we drifted apart but I managed a visit every now and then,but I always asked about him when I talked to my sister Sheila. He was and is always in my heart. He is in heaven 4 days before the devil knows he is dead. I will miss the big smiles and great attitude, goodbye my friend.

I am very sad at the passing of my favourite cousin Bert. My family was a little estranged from the rest of the Beardwood clan but the always ever vigilant Bert kept me informed of all goings on and that kept me more in touch with my family. He was like my own personal rock in bad times. He always said he loved me after every phone call or visit and that was special to me as I never received that from my Dad. I will miss him terribly and hope that Liz will always be part of my life for a long time. When my Dad passed it was he and his son Billy who made arrangements for Dad to have the service of rememberence at the Masonic Lodge and that was greatly appreciated. Always in my heart cousin --always in my heart!!e
