Happy Birthday Ron. I was thinking about you a lot today as I was going through pictures for Mona's photo album. It seemed every picture I picked up you were in. You are missed so much by all of us. It was raining today - tears from heaven. Love You.

Ron, every time I sit in the living room and look at the trim I think of you. I am so glad that I took your advice and painted the oak white. As you said " Just close your eyes and do it, trust me -you will love it." I trusted you and I do love it. I wish you could have seen the finished product. I really miss you.
Your sister Marg.

Dearest Gaetanne, Ann-Marie, and Ashley
My heart goes out to all of you at this very difficult time. We know Ron is in a better place, with Malcolm and Mom and Dad. We will really miss him, however, we have a treasure chest of wonderful memories of Ron when he was a young kid and the wonderful man he grew up to be. I will never forget his enjoyment of the pea-pie soup which was a mixture of Mom's Apple pie and her homemade pea soup. He announced when he had eaten it all that it was good 'pea-pie soup'. I'll also never forget the hilarious piggy-back 'bonanza' rides he would give Mona whenever the theme song to the show came on the television. Mona would run around looking for Ronnie to give her the bonanza ride. He would patiently gallop around the house with Mona on his back for the entire song. He had a knack for remembering jokes when most of us would forget everything leading up to the punchline. As a teenager Ron would spend a great deal of time pressing his clothes because we couldn't do it to his standards. Memories of Ron will always hold an important place in all our lives. The love we all shared will keep him close forever. May God give you courage and strength to cope with this great loss.
All my love, Mary.

Aunt Gaetanne, Ann-Marie (and family), Ashley (and family).
My heart is heavy with sadness with the passing of Uncle Ron.
Uncles have a special role in our lives. Not being our father, they can be a friend and a supporter in a different way than anyone else in our lives. They are both a relative and a companion; one of the few people able to be both. For several of us he was not only an uncle but also a mentor, an inspiration, and a shoulder lean on offering sound advice. I will never forget his humour and generosity. Uncle Ron’s kind face remains forever in our image. May God give him eternal rest and your entire family the strength to bear the great pain. Death can never take a good person away, for in the hearts of the people they inspired, the legacy remains and continues throughout generations. For us nieces and nephews the loss of Uncle Ron is filled with the years of happy memories we had, and that special connection that belongs only to uncles.
Our sincere sympathies; Love Heather, Roger and Megan

Gaetanne, Ashley, Bob and family--Ron was the greatest neighbour we could ever hope to have. Although Ross has been in a preaching ministry for many years now, yet Ron and Ross had both worked for many years as police officers--although for different services. In this sense they were truly "brothers-in-law" and there was a real bond that knew no borders. Ron was a true blessing to all in this neighbourhood--never was he too busy to lend a helping hand, and he was Mr. Fix it. We can't count the times when Ron cleared many driveways of snow before he would head out for a full day of work. Incredible! When Ross injured his foot Ron cut our lawn often twice a week for almost the entire summer. Always a cherry word and a bright spot in our lives. How we have been blessed of God for over 22 years by Ron. We will and do miss him terribly and life will never be quite the same for us or this neighbourhood without our dear neighbour and friend. Gaetanne and Ashley our love and prayers have been with you for years, but even more so in the days and months that lay ahead, that God will bless you, minister to your very real needs and shower you with His love. With our Love and Prayers--Ross & Jan

Aunt Gaetanne, Ann-Marie (and family), Ashley (and family). My deepest condolences to all of you. Uncle Ron was a wonderful man, strong, confident, and funny-- he had the greatest laugh, was quick to smile, he told great stories and always had a good joke to tell too. He was a true and genuine gentleman. He was quick with a kind word, and always had words of encouragement. He fought the good fight, with incredible dignity and strength, amazing. I loved him, admired him and respected him, I will miss him, as I am sure many others will too. I hope with time, that the wonderful memories you have of him will bring a smile to your face, and warm your heart. Love Sheila (and Lauren)
