Harbridge: Harvey Alvin Daniel
Of Orillia, ON born April 17, 1923 – left for heaven February 8, 2016. Survived by his wife of almost 3 years Lee Henrietta Smyth. Predeceased by his first wife of 65 years, Margaret. Father to John – deceased (Cherie), survived by Jeanne Boyce (Ken), Peggy Dall (Jim), Dan (Larae). Grandfather to Melanie Hart (David), Amanda Weiss (Mark), Ross (Melanie), Peter West (Bonnie), David West (Heather), Matthew West (Sarah), Hannah. Great Grandfather to 15 children. Born in Gravenhurst, ON. He served as a pilot in the RCAF during WW2 where he met his first wife Margaret. In business his love was construction and contributed to the Toronto skyline with many commercial high-rise buildings. He founded Harbridge & Cross, a prominent general contractor who carry on the work today. He retired to Florida in the late 1970’s and returned to Canada in 2013 after his marriage to his second wife, Lee. His passion for building was only surpassed by his love for Jesus whom he shared joyfully through writing books and personal witness. February 8 was Dad’s home going day and he is now in the presence of his risen Lord – to God be the Glory.
Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home 38 James Street E. Orillia on Friday February 12th, from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3 p.m. Memorial donations to Billy Graham Ministries/ John Hagee Ministries or Dr. David Jeremiah Ministries.
