Townes: Kathleen Mary (Kay) At her home Orillia with family at her side on Sunday November 22, 2015 in her 78th year. Kay Townes (nee Rivard) beloved wife of Douglas George Townes of 56 years. Loving mother of Paul, David, Bonnie Monforton (Alan-predeceased), Chris (Danita) and Robert (Kim). Dear grandmother of Matthew, Sarah, Emily, Destiny, Brianne, Jessica, Jeremy, Jaymee, Ryley, Hunter and Owen. Great grandmother of Leo, Vittorio, Alexa and Carter. Dear sister of John Rivard (Diane) and Bernard Rivard (Yvonne). Kay was a member of the CWL at Guardian Angels and a Member of the Ladies Auxiliary Royal Canadian Legion Branch 34 Orillia. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home- 38 James Street E. Orillia on Wednesday November 25th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A celebration of Mass will be held at Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church 115 West Street N. Orillia on Thursday November 26th at 10 a.m. Interment St. Michael’s Cemetery Orillia. Memorial donations to Breast Cancer Research c/o Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
