Bishopton 21 June 2011 Hi Tommy I got an e-mail from Jim a couple of days ago telling me the sad news about Joyce passing away. I’ve known you both for many years and always enjoyed catching up when I managed to get across to visit Jim, so I have very many happy memories of times and adventures with both of you! I’m sure you will have dozens more memories of a long life with Joyce, many very happy but latterly not so as her illness made her more and more dependent on the help of others as well as your own unfailing devotion! Now she is at peace and we are left with the memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this sad time and I hope you find some comfort from family and friends near and far! You have been an inspiration to me and so many people in the past – now I hope this time of deep sadness is short-lived and you will be sustained by the memories of the good times and the friendship you so deserve! I’m looking forward to seeing you in September you when I bring June to meet my Canadian family and friends! Till then take care ,Tommy – we are thinking of you! Stewart

Jo-Ann, Stephen and Tom, I was very sorry to hear of your loss today. I have only the fondest memories of your Mom / Wife; the warmth, the kindness, the sense of humour, the zest for life. She was truly one in a million and always made me feel so welcome in your home. All these years later, I still vividly recall Tom and Joyce returning from Scottish Dancing "night-out" and while Joyce while busy washing dishes, Tom swept her away from the sink and they danced around the kitchen! It was such a beautiful moment between two people who were always so very much in love and never afraid to let the world see it. I will be thinking of you all during this difficult time. Love Kelly Karayannides (Eaton)

Tom, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Joyce was a real trooper. She honestly tried so hard to overcome the setbacks her illness had given her, with your help. She was a wonderfully sweet, courageous lady and we will miss her. All the best to you and your family at this time. I can't attend the services but my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Tom, Stephan and Joanne, I am so very sorry to hear about Joyce. I have so many fond memories of her over the years and I can't even express how generous it was for Tom and Joyce to co sign my loan in my second year to continue my education at University. Joyce always asked how I was and what I was up to, when I would meet up with her at the Scottish Festival or at Christmas time. Her smile would light up a room and her warm heart would always make you feel welcome. I will miss her so much. Niall Campbell

Tommy, JoAnn, Stephen. I am so sorry to hear of Joyce's passing. Joyce was such a lovely lady organizing the Pot Luck Suppers we used to have at the apartment building. When I moved the thing I missed most was the get-togethers we had every evening in the lobby. I cherish the fact that I could call her my friend. May God Bless, love Eudora
