Just wanted to send my condolences to the family. Years ago when I worked at Zellers, Mr and Mrs Kauk would come in to shop and have lunch in the Skillet. Mrs K would eat and then go shop while Mr K waited for her I would take my break and Mr K and I would sit and talk, and he would always give me his dessert. With his lunch meal he would get a toblerone, lindor or turtles which he was not to eat, so he would share!!! To this day I still think of him when I have one of these treats! Thinking of you all - I miss you Nancy, all your family always treated me well, even if I couldn't play pool to save my life! Lots of love Renee ox

I enjoyed often talking with Joe at the swimming pool and a couple of times when we went to Tim Horton's. Joe always had time for me. He always loved to chat. I am privileged to have known Joe and I miss him.

I am very sorry to hear of Joe's passing. I am a niece to his nephew(predeseased Jim Kauk) I had the pleasure of seeing Joe a few times a week when he would come through my drive thru at Tim Hortons on Atherley Rd. He told me he worked at Westons and asked if there was any type of bread I liked. A few days passed and he came through again this time arms loaded with cinnamon raisin bread! I offered money to pay and he, of course, denied any. In return, I paid for a few of his coffees for the bread. He will be missed.
