Obituary of Gloria Stubbings

Stubbings: Gloria Winnifred Peacefully passed on Sunday, January 9th, 2011 in her 77th year. Beloved wife of the late Donald Stubbings. Loving mother and best friend of Janice and son-in-law Fred Rymill of Uptergrove. Proud grandmother of Stephen. Dear sister of Gordon Adair and his wife Gloria of Oshawa . Loved sister-in-law of Cathy and her husband Harvey White of Toronto and the late David Stubbings. Daughter of the late Winfred and Effie Adair. Sadly missed by her feline companion, Winston. Remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Gloria was a spirited fighter who never admitted defeat and was a beacon of hope for all. Everyone she touched was made a better person for having met her, instantly mesmerized by her affinity for bringing joy to others and her never-yielding "can-do" attitude. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St E, Orillia on Saturday, January 15th from 10 a.m. until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Memorial donations to the Oncology Unit at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
