Ronald “Griswald” Carter Patt, Kevin & Kelly Ray & I are very sorry to hear that Ron passed away so soon. He was a very “Gentle – Man”. A man of few words but a big smile and a great big heart. Whenever Ron stopped at our house, he would always remark – “I don’t know why the Witch made me leave this place with a double garage and loooong driveway – I miss them”. To which Ray & I would respond “ We’re glad you did, thank you very much”. We always wondering if Ron had a problem seeing, because all of his vehicles had soooo many lights on them. Then at Christmas time, your house always looked like the “Griswalds”. Whenever you had your Christmas lights on, all the rest of us on the street only had half power!!! Ha Ha. It must have taken Ronnie a very long time to put all of them up, and then take them all down. But they looked great and enjoyed by the whoe town. I’m so glad that Ron was forced into early retirement due to his heart, because at least he had the opportunity to enjoy his retired life and be a great Grampa. So many people are denied that chance.
