Obituary of Alyre Gallant

Gallant, Alyre Gerard "Al" Passed away peacefully at the Orillia Solders' Memorial Hospital on Friday September 18th, 2015 at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Margaret Gallant (nee Piening). Loving father of Debbie Bootsma and her husband Mark. Cherished Papa of Danielle, Rachel, and Alyssa. Al is predeceased by his parents Pascal and Edmee Gallant. Dear brother of Pauline Cobham (Tom), the late Gerard, Joseph (Lillian), Eveline Blanchard (Andre), Yvon (Antoinette), Edgar (Sharon), Rose Seelye (John), Rita Vautour (George), and Leonard (Marie). Al will be lovingly remembered by many family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia on Tuesday September 22nd, from 7:00 p.m. ~ 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the First Christian Reformed Church 50 Fittons Road W. Orillia on Wednesday September 23rd, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Andrew's ~ St. James' Cemetery Orillia. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Royal Victoria Regional Cancer Care Centre.
