Dear Irene, Craig & Carla, My saddened heart sincerely goes out to you with the passing of your loving husband and father Ken. There are so many fond memories, tall tales, laughs and happy thoughts that Ken was the centre of over the past 23 years that I had the privilege of knowing him. All the times up at the hunt camp on Manitoulin Island sitting around the fire pit as Ken tossed yet another huge pile of logs onto the fire will always be remembered with a smile and warm thoughts. Ken’s infectious smile, fast wit and kind heart are a few of his many attributes that are to be held close for moments of comfort at this very difficult time of his passing. Strength and happy memories to all of the McCracken family.

My heart goes out to the whole McCracken family at the passing of Ken. Very few of you would know who I am, but I was exactly 5 months older than Kenny and he was my very first friend. His sister Lynda and my sister Linda where, and still are great friends. After childhood I believe that I only saw Kenny 4 or 5 times, in Lakefield, but they were memorable. Irene, if you can't place me, I was the outsider that joined you, Ken, Lynda, Bryson and some friends on a camping trip and another time to a dance. As I said, not many in the McCracken family will remember me, but I do remember all of you and I feel thankful that Kenny, my old friend, is now lying in a bed of silk and cotton, in complete comfort and painless, watching over his beloved family. Kenny was a great guy who will be fondly remembered from our days at 12 Division. He was a coppers copper that was liked by everyone. He had the most incredible smile and great sense of humour. As a rookie back in 1987 I remember him fondly. Rest well our brother. May God bless you all with strength and courage.

I had the pleasure, honour and time of my life when Ken was my training officer (on the Toronto Police) back when I was a rookie 21 years ago! I will always remember him for his sense of humour and that infectious smile. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Although we have been out of touch for many years we have so many fond memories of you all from those camping trips on Beausolell island to the crazy snowmobile trips to Quebec and Michigan.
