Wilson: John D.J.
WWII RAF(LAC) Veteran, Past Grandmaster (1969) Orillia Masonic Lodge. Passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 20th, 2013 at Orillia Solders' Memorial Hospital, in his 93rd year after a brief illness. Born September 12th, 1921 in Bellshill, Scotland. Predeceased by his parents George and Martha (Docherty) Wilson, brother George and sisters Mary, Elizabeth and Martha all of Scotland. Survived by sister Jean Morrison (Alec) of Scotland. Dearly beloved father of Terry (Dianna) of Kingston, Robert (Marilyn), David (Karen) and Janet (Murray McDonnell) all of Orillia. Grandpa John fondly remembered by his grandchildren Steven (Janice) of Milton, Heather (Gregory McQuat) of Kingston, Scott (Katie) of Brockville, Tara (Shaun), Matthew Wilson (Jeena), Dallas Wilson (Raquel), Katherine and Ken McDonnell all of Orillia. He will also be missed by seven great grandchilren, many nieces, nephews and friends in Canada and Scotland. Loved and will be missed by sister in law Frances and special niece Moira. A memorial gathering to celebrate John's life will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia on Saturday November 23rd, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m.. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Ontario Kidney Foundation or the charity of choice would be appreciated.
