I am Lynette Keough, Tyler Michael's mom. Cody was always Tyler's favorite uncle. They were only 5 years apart, so Tyler always looked up to him and loved all the time he got to spend with his Uncle Cody, whether in person, on the phone, or communicating through social media. Tyler truly loved his Uncle Cody so much. Whenever Tyler would tell me or his dad (John Michael MacEachern) about Cody, a great big smile would appear on his face. Not just anyone could make Tyler happy, but Cody surely did.
John Michael and I lost our son, Tyler, when he was only 22 years old. Tragically, he was innocently murdered May 12, 2021. I take a small bit of comfort knowing Tyler would have been there to meet Cody as he passed on. Wherever they are, I'm sure they're having a grand time! Tyler was very spiritual and always told us that there was so much more to this life than what we can see, and that our bodies are simply vessels in this life. I truly believe they live on and we will be reunited one day.
I am very sorry for the loss of Cody to all those who love him, especially his wonderful mom, Susan. Losing a child is something nobody should ever experience. I pray that everyone who loves Cody will help and support Sue through this awful journey of grief. Cody had a huge heart; he was loyal, funny, loved animals, his family and friends and he was a very handsome young man. He had future plans and goals that were unfairly stolen from him. His presence will most certainly be missed.
I am so sorry that Cody's life was so unfairly cut short. Although I am thankful he lived for 31 years, that wasn't long enough. I so desperately wish Cody hadn't been sick and in pain. Nobody deserves to feel that. It is devastating that Cody, a much-loved and appreciated son, brother, uncle and friend to many has left this earth far too soon.
Rest In Paradise Cody, we will continue to keep your beautiful memory alive. Until we meet again XoX
