Obituary of Neil Robert Barclay

Barclay, Neil Robert Passed away peacefully at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Sunday August 25th, 2024, in his 59th year. Neil is predeceased by his loving parents May and Ian. He is survived by his loving sisters Lynn (Brian), Christine (Dan), and loving brother John (Brenda). Dear uncle of Adrian, Melanie, Sean, Chance, Victoria, and Jaden. Neil was born with Downs Syndrome and lived in the Huronia Regional Centre for many years before living at Karis Disability Services (formerly Christian Horizons) for the past 17 years where he received wonderful care. Neil will be greatly missed. Neil was a joy to be around with a good sense of humor. Neil was nonverbal but was able to communicate in his own loving way. Our deepest gratitude extends to everyone who cared for Neil throughout the years by showing him kindness, compassion and love. The memorial service is to be held on Sunday September 15th at 2pm at Karis Disability Services home at 269 Barrie Road, Orillia.
