We remember Sandy from our years on staff at OSMH, and were always impressed by her passion for building and inspiring the best possible group of volunteers, creating a team that made a huge contribution and difference to almost every hospital activity.
She didn't hide away behind a desk, but was always out there, engaged, and supportive of her team.
Everyone know her and often called upon on her knowledge of the hospital, her kindness and generosity.
What a great career and a great legacy.
Our sincere condolences to her family at this tough time,
Nancy Harris and Tony Reid.

I got to know Sandi in 2003 when she hired me as a SARS screener summer student at OSMH. She always had a funny anecdote to share, was always smiling, was fiercely protective of her employees and volunteers and had great sense of humour. I watched and observed how gracious and compassionate she was with every person who entered the hospital for varied reasons. The OSMH community was made better because of Sandi’s immense contributions. My condolences to her family and friends. Lindsay Woodside

I worked with Sandy at OSMH when she was the Director of Volunteer Services. Her passion for her work was evident to everyone and she went to great lengths to meet the needs of our patients and recognize the efforts of our volunteers. Thank you, Sandy, for all your contributions!

Condolences to Sandy’s family. I knew Sandy from dances at the South Ward, and went to school with Terry. I lost contact when I got married and moved, but reconnected years later when my Dad was in Soldiers. She was so good to him, remembering our times as teenagers and her coming to our place, You had a wonderful mother and grandmother.
