I wish I had been near him the last 45 years. Shawn was my best friend for 5 of my formative years. When I was in Cumberland Beach in April and May of 2024, I looked him up, but only ended up with 3 pages of Shawn Smiths to phone, and I never set about phoning any of them. Now I wish I had. R.I.P. old friend...

Tracey posted a condolence

My condolences go out to Shawn’s family. He was also a big part of my family as well. He was a great person and would do anything for anyone. A funny memory I have of Shawn was one Christmas he had decorated the Christmas tree and told me he had these awesome lights that if you just clap your hands they would turn off and on. So here I am clapping my hands to turn them on and off, and the funny thing was that he had a little remote that actually worked the lights. Gullible me actually believe him. He burst out laughing so hard. We will all miss Shawn. My sincerest sympathy to his family especially Josh and Teresa he will always be watching over you both. Sending my love. Tracey Jackson
