Though Ten years has passed it only came to my attention today that John had died. In the course of dealing with a matter at work I came across an individual named Chapple. It reminded me of the family I knew in Burlington when I was very young - a family who was very kind to me and to my family. It is not an entirely common name so I decided to conduct a google search and came across John's obituary. Notwithstanding I have not seen anyone in the family in more than 40 years (I think it was Diane's wedding around 1983?? that I attended with my mom) I have very vivid memories of John and Barb and the girls: especially remember Sharon as she was closest to me in age. Equally vivid (perhaps because I was 5 or 6) is the memory of a 4 legged member of the family: Duke.
Given the passage of time I don't know if anyone will read this, and who knows what has changed since the obituary was written. But I just wanted to say how sorry I am for John's passing and will cherish the friendship of the Chapple family forever
