Obituary of Linda Marlene Jackson

Jackson, Linda Marlene Linda Marlene Jackson (Vivian) was born March 21st, 1949, to the late Dorothy Viola Vivian (Carrick) and the late Roy Vivian of Orillia, Ontario where she lived all of her life. Linda was a very caring and loving mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. Linda is survived by her son Gregory Jackson and daughter Sarah Jackson of Barrie, Ontario. Brothers Murray (Sylvia) of Orillia, Randy Vivian Golden, BC., Sister of Carolyn Andre, Orillia, Cathie Roe (Doug) Orillia, Sharon Lutes of Orillia, and Marilyn Hammond (Scott) of Bracebridge. Dearest friend of Karin Way, Orillia, and cherished cousin of Susie Murdock of Orillia. Linda is sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews, family, and friends. Linda was an accomplished, talented, and respected Hairstylist for over 50 years in Orillia. Linda loved her career and will be missed dearly by her clients young and old. Linda worked up until March this year at Ottavios Hair Design until her 35-year battle with Cancer recurrence. As an active community member Linda volunteered many long hours for North Simcoe Victim Crisis Services, Orillia Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce of Orillia. Linda loved Lake Couchiching especially Old Brewery Bay where she spent her childhood summers swimming, boating and playing on Heward’s Point with family. Linda also enjoyed her love of reading, golfing, walking, travel, and fashion. Linda would like to thank Dr. Archer, Dr. Italinao and nurses of Soldier’s Memorial Hospital, Lake Simcoe Retirement Residence and Assisted Living for their support and compassion. “I may be gone but please don’t cry Death is not the last goodbye Death releases me of my pain Don’t be blue and don’t be sad Think back to the fun we had Never far I am always near Speak to me and I will hear See you again it’s not goodbye” Cremation has taken place. Per Linda’s request, no funeral service will be held.
