Ian,

Dear Ian and family,
We just read in the Bear lake Residents' Association newsletter two days ago, that Robin passed away. Our sincere sympathy to you and the family Ian. Robin was always a bright light at our BL meetings and at St. Olaf's and I always enjoyed speaking with her. Shirley and Bill Gillett always talked of Robin and Pat when we frequently socialized with them.

Robin and I shared great times at her Florida home in Cape Coral. We always had a good time with lots of laughs, whether it was shopping or going out for drinks and dinner. I will always treasure our bike ride on the Pinellas Bike Trail and then a night stay on Clearwater Beach. My sincerest condolences to Ian and their children. Miss you girlfriend..

Bobbin Robin. We will always remember the many happy times we've shared at Bear Lake. Robin embraced life to the fullest with her positive outlook. Not only was she a favorite with our grandchildren but with David, Jennifer and Megan as well.

Robin was our sister. We knew her as a person that loved to run, ski, travel, and help anyone along the way. She loved animals and didn’t know a stranger. As her older brother’s and sister’s we remember Robin best at the Lake. We grew up there and in later years reconnected there. We had good times making memories for a lifetime. Robin loved to talk and we always looked forward to the ramblings to learn what was on her mind for the day. We will miss Robin deeply, she was a wonderful giving person and sister.

Mrs Steele was another mom to me. She always had something delicious for us kids in the kitchen and knew how to keep us out of trouble. She didn't even yell at us when Morgan accidentally bleached my hair blonde instead of doing highlights. She was a calm and nurturing presence to all.

Robin was my dearest friend of 34 years. She welcomed me into the Y when we first moved to Orillia.
We power walked, went skiing, snow shoeing, golfing, shared cottage time and so much more.

Sandoval just lost a talented, giving friend to some, and an inspiration to others. She gave unconditionally to keep us fit, and enjoyed it in the process. Dear Ian and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Robin was such an inspiration to me and to so many others during our YMCA days. And I can still see and hear her cheering in the stands and on the sidelines when our kids competed in sporting events. Her energy and enthusiasm was contagious. I will surely miss my “friend in fitness”. You were taken way too soon, but God had better plans for you. I bet you are instructing a fitness class already getting the other angels in shape! We shared our birthdays in April and you said to me once that you never had a birthday party. I am so happy that I got to surprise you with one this last year! Rest in peace my beautiful friend. When I am doing my work outs I will say to myself, “this one is for Robin!”

I will always remember Robin as a vibrant, caring and wonderful neighbor in Sandoval Florida. She was always full of life, having a positive mindset, so giving and fun to be with, particularly playing Catch Phrase. We were so saddened to hear of Robin’s passing. I have so many fond memories of our time together in Sandoval (Florida). Whether it was chatting at a fitness class, or our visits to Starbucks after fitness or getting together for an aqua fit lesson led by Robin, you could always count on her smile, energy and happy nature. I remember one particular time when she patiently helped me at swimming when I wanted to learn how to improve my swimming stroke. Always a “teacher” and inspiration for others. Brian and I would often run into Ian and Robin when they were walking their dog in the community which always brought a smile to our face. She will be missed.
