Obituary of Nancy Anne Hurley

Hurley, Nancy Anne It is with both heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of dear Nancy. Nancy is survived by her sister Linda and her brother Marty and their families. She is predeceased by her father Joe (hallelujah), whom she adored and cared for, as well as her mother Terry and brother Michael. Nancy lived in Toronto for many years, entertaining her friends and family. She loved a party, loved to cook, and loved to travel. I think having everyone over was what she loved the most. Nancy had many different jobs, from fashion to furniture to vacation brokers. She loved to wheel and deal, and believe me, she was a pro. When she learned about bartering, boy, did we all benefit, from clothes to trips, restaurants, Captain Wayne's fishing charter. She was always so generous. Nancy loved to gamble (but never admitted to it). When she moved to Washago it came as a surprise...until we realized Casino Rama was down the street. Her home in Washago was beautiful. When diagnosed with cancer 3 months ago, her wish was to remain there with her beautiful dog Primrose. Well, her wish came true when a friend Neil cared for her until the end. On one side of her home she enjoyed a big window overlooking her deck full of flowers and candles and streams of beautiful lights. And on the other side was a colourful fountain that lit up at night. Her room was illuminated with light, love and care, which illuminated her as well. You are a treasure Neil. As well, Carla's ideas for the chair was the "cats ass" as she would say. Nancy put her hands, mind and heart to make the world a magical place for everyone. May we all find solace in all the cherished memories we have shared and knowing that Nancy's spirit will live on in our hearts forever. Cheers! Thank you for being a friend We've traveled down the road and back again You're heart is true, you're a pal and a confidant. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Next time you are at a Casino, look up and say, "...and everyone knew her as Nancy." Thank you Bayshore staff for caring for Nancy these past few months. She thought so much of all of you.
