Our beautiful mother born over a century ago was a true Woman Warrior in more ways than we could ever count. A leader by example, whose actions always spoke louder than her words but were equalled by her keen sense of humour and love of laughter. She loved deeply, travelled discreetly and always got the job done in the most superlative fashion. Extremely quick witted, approachable and like many, mellowed as the years flew by; making her one of the most understanding Grandmothers a child could ever wish for. Anyone who passed through our home over the years would concur we were truly, truly blessed. Love you Mom
Thank you to Dr Sandra Tigchelaar, Sue, and to Hilda’s Bayshore nurse Sara. Always available with willingness and kindness to advise and help, while providing the most professional care within Hilda’s home.
We offer our most profound & sincere appreciation to mom’s incredible
psw’s. Thank You Jessie, Lori & Elena. Words seem so inadequate in expressing our overwhelming gratitude for the unwavering, compassionate & professional care they have provided mom these past 2 years, up to & including her final breath. Often going so far above & beyond anything we could have ever hoped for in helping mom to remain in her home. Our mother was cherished & that was so evident in her final days. Our A-Team showed up frequently & voluntarily any hour of the day or night to see if anything was needed, offering to help in any way, supporting us & supporting one another. They’d come to care and sit with mom so that we could relax in our mission. They allowed us to simply be her children in moms last days. For all of this, we are truly eternally grateful.
