Mr. Reid was my Grade 4 and Grade 5 teacher at King Edward School in Brantford. Grade 4 was the first year where homework was introduced into my learning regimen and my marks slid steadily thereafter. I did not have good listening skills but I do remember a dynamic teacher. The poem he created for the teachers' charity hockey game was a classic. I still remember that if we came to see the game at the Civic Centre "where East meets West and we'll see hockey at it's best. We'll see Rippity Reid fly past the East with his blinding speed." My sympathies to all who were close to him and are experiencing a great loss.

Lloyd an I are cousins, his Mother and mine being sisters. We spent a lot of time together at Grandmother Verge's in Brantford at 45 James. We visited each other as time permitted and always had enjoyable times.
It will be a struggle to not have him there.
His wonderful Wife and family are a great proof of a life well lived.
