Obituary of Laurene " Lauree" Ann Fell

Taken far too soon from those Lauree loved and far too soon for those who so dearly loved Lauree. Lauree passed away very suddenly and so unexpectedly at Soldier’s Memorial Hospital in her 48th year, after many years serving the Seniors in her care at Leacock Manor and more recently her Service Work for Helping Hands. Lauree was a very devoted daughter to her parents Heather (nee Borrow) and Bryan Fell (Gina). They are devastated. Lauree was an outstanding and very caring Mom to Zachery Christopher and Zoe Alexandra who are at a loss today. Thank you Lauree for blessing our lives in so many ways. Left also to miss Lauree are Shane and Sierra Druer, Bob and Konnor Derbyshire. Lauree also leaves her brothers Bill ( Lee, Erica, Stephan and Eric) and Alex (Allison, Allissa, Kristen, Skylar, Megan and Joshua). Dexter, Daisy and Pistachio were Lauree’s furry and loyal pets. They will be looking for her presence. Lauree was also deeply adored and loved by her Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. The Borrow Family – the late Uncle Ronald, the late Uncle Billy, Georgetta and Doug Marshall (Tiffany, Roberto, Lucianna), Iva Jean and Glenn Andrews (Sheri, Brent, Nicholas and Owen; Shelly, Scott, Rachel, Evan; Adam, Shelley, Noah and Everly). The Fell Family – Bill and Lynne (Nicholla, Mike, Jaxson, and Jeff, Donna and Priit Pallopson 9Michael, Brian, Ellah, Annica, Vaughn and Cassius), the late Gary and the late Mary (Johanna and Gord, Craig, Jaquie, Tessa and Marshall); Tammy and Doug Jones (Sarah, Danny, Jack, Finn and Tyler). Lauree was a special granddaughter to the late Byrdie and George Borrow and the late Laurene and John Fell. At the tender age of 7, when Lauree’s Grandma (Byrdie) passed away, she stated that she wanted to help older people when she grew up. By age 10, Lauree had helped her late Great Aunt Ettie and late Great Aunt Velma. Seniors were Lauree's destiny and love. She was loved, well-respected and admired by every senior she aided over her career. They are also left to grieve Lauree all too soon. From a young age, Lauree loved to swim in her pool, attend dance class weekly well into her teens, but it turns out that a Ladies Baseball Team really gave her an extra special love of the game. Lauree had great times with her team and brother, Bill, as their coach. They represented Will Marshall Insurance and made sure to always be Top Players. Lauree had a wonderful affinity for collecting anything “Pigs”. She loved butterflies, gardens and was so excited about decorating her new home. We are left to carry on those dreams for Lauree, her children and her furry pals. Lauree enjoyed reading great books, Anne of Green Gables and shared her Mom’s love and enjoyment of all Gordon Lightfoot music. It is ironic that Lauree and Gordon will enter Heaven together. Cremation will occur after organ donations have been completed. There is a wonderful possibility that nine other lives will be enriched by Lauree’s act of selflessness. At the families request any donations can be respectfully made to Lupus Foundation of Canada, Mariposa Hospice or Hospital for Sick Children through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St. E. Orillia (705) 327-0221. Messages of condolence are welcomed www.simcoefuneralhome.ca. A celebration of Lauree’s remarkable life will be held on Sunday May 21, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 34, 215 Mississaga Street Orillia, Ontario. For the continued safety and protection of everyone, the family requests all those in attendance to please wear a mask. We thank you in advance. “I am made out of flaws stitched together by good intentions” Let your butterfly wings take flight, sweet girl! Rest in peace, our beautiful Lauree. We will feel your presence always Xxxooo
