Obituary of Richard Stephen Laverdiere

Laverdiere, Richard Stephen Passed away peacefully at Mariposa House Hospice in Severn on Wednesday March 8th, 2023, at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Shirley Laverdiere (nee Brittain) for 38 years. Loving father of Nicolette, Mark, John, Bev, and Sherry. Proud Grandfather of Nicole, Victoria, Brad, Ellie, Tor, Olivia, Gabby, Josh, Brendan, Kaden, Quinlan, Ryan and great grandfather to Amaya, Isabella, Easton, and Cayleigh. Dear brother to 8 sisters and 3 brothers. Richard will be missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. Richard’s Family would like to thank Dr. Ho, Dr. Crew, as well as the staff at Mariposa House Hospice for their exceptional care and friendly smiles during such hard times. A funeral service was held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E., Orillia on Monday March 13th at 2:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy donations are welcome to be made to Mariposa House Hospice.
