Obituary of Sandy Koens

Koens, “Sandy” Herman John Gary Passed away peacefully at the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital on Thursday September 29th, 2022, at the age of 78. Born in DeHaag Netherlands, predeceased by his parents Herman and Johanna Koens. Beloved husband of the late Patricia (nee Slark). Much loved father of Michelle Austin (Peter) of Coldwater, Deanna Koens (John) of Barrie, and Krista Koens of Oro-Medonte. Loving grandfather of Devon, Zachary, Abigail, Olivia, Quinn and Lilly. Sandy will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia on Sunday October 2nd, 2022, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Private family interment at Knox Presbyterian Cemetery, Oro-Medonte.
