Obituary of Ted Juffermans

Juffermans, Theodorus Cornelius “Ted” Theodorus Cornelius Juffermans known as Ted Juffermans Born January 9, 1946, Ted passed away on Friday, May 13th, 2022 at Soldier’s Memorial Hospital, Orillia after a lengthy battle with esophageal cancer. He leaves behind his wife Ivey(Pullbrook) and two brothers- John (Edna) of Innisfil and Leo of Union Bay, British Columbia. He is predeceased by his parents and brothers Hans and Nick. Ted was born the third son of Ted and Corry Juffermans in Noordwijkerhout, the Netherlands. When he was 8, he immigrated to Canada with his parents and 4 brothers. The family resided in Lefroy where he attended elementary school and Bradford High School for his secondary education. Over time he assisted his family with their greenhouse business called Sunnyside Greenhouses on the 4th concession of Innisfil. With the passing of his father, Ted, along with his brothers carried on the business for several more years. Ted always had an interest in landscape architecture and eventually he began his own business called Consolidated Landscaping and Design. He moved to Orillia where he continued his business and many Orillia parks and housing developments are testaments to his design flair and completed projects. He met Ivey and they enjoyed 20 years together. They hosted many parties and barbecues in their lovely home and yard on Laclie St. and at Camp Hillbilly where they trailered. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews, cousins, neighbours and good friends who will miss his smile, chats and gardening advice. A Celebration of Life is to be held on June 5th from 2-4.
