Rattray, James “Ted” Edward
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Edward Rattray at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital on Monday April 18th, in his 87th year. Born and raised in Hamilton, James served in the Canadian armed forces, visiting the far east and earning a U.N. service medal before finding a career with Stelco. James is predeceased by his wife of 32 years Hazel Dorothy Rattray and is survived by his children Jim Rattray, Terry Rattray, Cliff Poyton, Brenda Lee (Herb Maerz), and Darlene Beverley (Scott). Loving grandfather to thirteen grandchildren, great-grandfather to twenty-five, and recently great-great-grandfather to one. He is survived by his sisters Susan and Wendy and his many nieces and nephews. James will be remembered as a great friend to Steve Nichol and many others.
