Obituary of Blanche Marie Black

Black, Blanche Marie (nee Currie) It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Tuesday March 15th, 2022, at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Roy Black (2011). Much loved mother of Harry-predeceased (Joan), Carl-predeceased, Clare (Marilyn), Laura Hawthorne (Ray), Norman, Mary Alma Stafford (Frank), Ross (Paulette), Walter (Frankie), Sharon Dunlop, Donna Black (Bob), and Debbie Files (Jim). Proud and loving grandmother of 90. Dear sister of Linda Fanjoy (Don), predeceased by her sister Myrtle and brothers Alex, Archie, and Bill. Blanche will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by many family and friends. A visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia on Sunday March 20th from 1-4 & 6-9 pm. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Monday March 21st, 2022, at 1:00 pm. Spring interment Lake Dalrymple United Church Cemetery, Sebright.
