David Kwan posted a condolence

It is very hard to believe Art has passed away, let alone his wife of 67 years a mere few weeks ago.
This is not something I wish post on Christmas Eve 2021 because his loss, and his wife Dot's is shocking and painful. He will always be remembered as a unique personality, caring and loving, sensitive to a fault, a twinkle of mischief in his eye, and the loudest, obnoxious laugh that was both rollicking and infectious. He will always be remembered for his kindness to my wife Paula, and our three daughters: Catherine, Jessica and Samantha, who lovingly called him "Uncle Art".
It speaks volumes about his character for the trips down to the Hirtle house for special occasion dinners, only to drive back home soon afterwards. He always wanted to be around family and it has always been a regret that both Art and Dot were not able to have children of their own, for they surely would have made good parents. It will be difficult to acknowledge the emptiness the Christmas table will be this year with two empty seats always reserved for them to fill. We have lost a good man, and we will always be indebted to him for all the good he did in this world and to all the people that had the privilege to know him. Raise a glass of his favorite beer to the sky and salute.
God Bless you Art and Dot,
David and Paula Kwan
