Purdy: Garnet George At the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital on Friday January 18th, 2013 in his 83rd year. Garnet Purdy of R.R.#3 Orillia beloved husband of the late Florence Purdy (nee Mountney). Loving friend of Bernice Broeders. Loving father of Doreen Savard (Albert-predeceased) of North Bay, Jack Purdy of Lisle, Linda (Allen Worrell) of Orillia, Gail (Victor Savard) of North Bay, Roger Purdy (Anita) of Hamner, Debbie (Bruce Thompson) of New Hamburg, Marleen (Danny Savarie) of Bonfield, Colleen Crawford (Garry Archer) of Orillia, Brian Purdy (Kate) of Orillia, Sharon Jantzi of Orillia and Karen Purdy of Uptergrove. Loving grandfather of twenty-eight grandchildren, fifty-eight great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Dear brother of Johnny, Lloyd, Annie, Violet, Esther, Edith, Jeanie, Eva and the late Beatrice, Robert, Freddie, Rubina, Gordon, Clare and Leonard. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home- 38 James Street E. Orillia on Tuesday January 22nd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Celebration of Mass for Christian Burial will be held at St. Columbkille Roman Catholic Church Uptergrove on Wednesday January 23rd at 11 a.m. Interment St. Columbkille Roman Catholic Cemetery, Uptergrove.
