Obituary of Evelyn May Renton

Renton: Evelyn May (nee Thackham) April 3 1933 – September 8 2021 After a long hard fight mom passed away at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Wednesday September 8th in her 89th year. Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Ed Renton and special friend Art Smith. Loving mother of Ken Keetch – predeceased (Patti VanDerEyken), Debbie Kilby (Jack) and Cyndee Crooks (Paul). Step mother to Peter, Eddie and the late Ron Renton Sr. Nanny, Great Nanny, Aunt and Great Aunt to many. Dear sister of Bea Keetch of Orillia and Rita Byerley of Arizona. Predeceased by her big brother Jim Atkinson and sister, Irene Crawley. Special lifelong friend to Shirley McLaughlin. Evelyn will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her extended family and many friends. The family would like to offer a very sincere thank you to Dr. Michalski, Dr McIntosh, Dr. Armstrong and the staff of Soldiers’ 1 and Harvie 2, especially Damara and Kyla for their excellent care and compassion. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia on Wednesday September 15th 2021 from 1-3 pm.
