Obituary of Keith Webb
Webb, Russell Keith
Keith passed away peacefully in Orillia on Saturday, June 26 in his 90th year. Born and raised in Toronto, he grew up in the Christie Pits area where he met his future wife, Joan Henderson. They married in 1956 and were inseparable for 65 years. Keith moved the family north to Waubaushene in 1963, where he worked as a journeyman electrician, restaurateur and short-order cook, builder, horseman and a devoted family man. He will be deeply missed by Joan and his children Dollard (Linda), Ian (Karen), Scott (Monica), Paul (Donna) and Katharyn (Brian). Very proud Grandfather to 13 and Great-Grandfather to four. Predeceased by his parents (Gordon and Muriel), sister Shirley, brother Gary, and daughter-in-law Lori. Survived by his sister Freda and missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends.
Keith was an avid member of the Standardbred Horse Racing Society for many years and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for over 50 years. A fan of horse racing, the Blue Jays, and the Maple Leafs.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Oak Terrace Retirement Home for their patience and kindness during his declining years. As per his request, cremation has already taken place and due to COVID protocols a private family gathering has already taken place. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society to help find a cure for this terrible disease. Tributes are welcome at www.simcoefuneralhome.ca
