Davis, Greta Passed away peacefully at her home in Orillia on Monday June 28th, 2021 at the age of 79. Previous wife of Gary Davis. Loving mother of Judy Black of Orillia, Janet Middleton (Alan) of Orillia, Greta Merrill (Randy) of Oshawa, and Grant Black (Wendy) of Brechin. Cherished grandmother of Christopher Cleaveley (Lisa) of Orillia, Kelly Johnson (Michael) of Orillia, Jennifer Ferris (Steve) of Orillia, Amanda Williams (Cole) of Severn, Jo-Anna Ferris (Dwayne) of Orillia, Alan Jr. Middleton (Amy) of Brechin, Lynn Deachman (Dan) of Whitby, Amy Michalecki (Jeffrey) of Whitby, Robert Merrill of Whitby, Gregory Black of Brechin, Brandi Trumbley (John) of Brechin, Matthew Black (Carmen) of Orillia, Stephanie Evans (Tim) of Barrie; great grandmother of 35 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Dear sister of Beryl Smith and Audrey Gates (George). Greta will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and many friends. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St E Orillia by appointment only on Thursday July 1st, 2021 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm Due to current restrictions attendance is limited and must be pre-booked. A funeral service to celebrate Greta’s life will be held by invitation only on Friday July 2nd 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Interment at St. Andrews – St. James’ Cemetery.
