Many years ago, while my Mom was visiting me in Sioux Lookout, the northern lights were spectacular. We stood in my front yard looking at them in awe. My Mom said “When I’m gone, if you’re looking for me, that’s where I’ll be.” From now on, the aurora will be even more spectacular.
Rest In Peace Mom.

Barb was a strong woman who had to be. Imagine, living through WWII. She was a flower and bird enthusiast; it was written with pictures on her iconic shirts and sweaters. She loved animals and bought treats for all the dogs. She loved adventure. Did you know she and Derek toured Great Britain on a tandem bicycle? She even slept out under the stars in a cow field! When we’re on our next adventure, whether it be camping, going out with friends, reading a good book or just watching the birds land at the feeder, let’s raise a glass to a life well lived.
