I was very sorry to hear of the premature passing of Bert Bishop. He was a kind, warm, sharing person, with a keen intellect.
I will miss my visits to to his shop. He would tell me of his fishing trips, plans for their Muskoka property, and his future sailing plans. I would also get some insites on retirement investing.
Orman, his passing will leave a huge whole in your life, to fill.
Deb and I would like to express or deepest sorrow!
When the pandemic has slowed we will have to get together and share our reminiscences of Bonnie Lake.♥️

Dear Orma and family,
Please know I am thinking of you, and grieving with you as you say goodbye to such a dear man: husband, friend, father & grandfather. He has definitely left his fingerprints on all your lives, and will be remembered for so many reasons.
I remember how much he wanted to help make a family happy a few Christmases ago- a family who would never be able to open gifts of their own. When you approached me I was really excited and was able to find a family for him to support through our church. The two of you shopped for them, finding the most practical yet creative, attractive and engaging gifts for them to enjoy as a family. I know they felt so blessed, I know they felt overcome with gratefulness, I know they experienced caring, love and dignity through the gifts you so generously gave together, and Bert had initiated. His generous heart made a very big difference and will long be remembered by that family and by me.
May you be encouraged to go on Orma, knowing you shared some incredible years together; and may your memories comfort you and fill some of the loneliness with a smile as you remember- his grinning face, his joyful eyes, his bubbly laughter and his good heart.

We are saddened to hear about Bert. A life taken suddenly and too early is heart breaking. We knew Bert from The Sharpening House. A quick stop in was never an option. We would have an entertaining visit. Our condolences to you and your family.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Bert's passing. Bert and I have had a business relationship built on trust and mutual respect. He was most generous in his dealings with me and always made the scale tip in my favour. We shared some funny stories and enjoyed some bantering and always parted with a smile or a good laugh. I'll miss you Bert, Rest in peace my friend.
