Obituary of Dorothy May Fowler

Passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord at Bethany Lodge, Unionville, Ontario on Friday, February 7, 2020 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of Frederick for 72 years (predeceased 2014). Loving mother of Marion Wragge (Dennis), Dr Stephen Fowler (Glynis), Denise Ballard (David), and Kathryn West (William). Dear grandmother of Jennifer, Craig, Kristi, Jonathan, Marcus, Joanna, Erin, Karen, Greg, Jeremy, Liam and Matthew. Great grandmother of 24. Private family interment, St. Andrew's St. James' Cemetery Orillia to take place on Saturday, March 7. A Memorial service will be held at the Hillside Bible Chapel, 195 Atlantis Drive Orillia on Saturday, March 7 at 2:00pm. All are welcome; light reception to follow. Mom was a devoted wife to our Dad and has longed for the day when she would be reunited with her Freddy. Mom modelled to us, her family, a servant's heart during our formative years as she exercised her gift of hospitality. We all can recall how having guests in our home for meals and times of fellowship around the piano were a common occurrence as we were growing up. Mom spent many weekends and weeks cooking for work parties at Camp Mini Yo We in it's early years, and organizing Ladies Coffee Hours as an outreach ministry at Danforth Gospel Hall. Mom loved to sew and knit (her hands were seldom idle) and was certainly evidenced by the beautiful clothing her children and grandchildren wore. Mom lived a long and full life and as her family, we want to thank all for your expressions of love and for the loving care Mom received by the devoted staff at Bethany Lodge these past 4.5 years.
