Years ago I remember my Dad on a wooden surfing board being pulled behind our motorboat with Mavis driving the boat. He was outside the wake, and yelling "whoa" because Mavis was going too fast. She drove the boat like she drove the car - fast! Mavis thought Dad was yelling "go" and proceeded to go faster. Dad was whipping through the bull-rushes and weeds in Duck Bay, afraid to let go. I was standing on the dock with my brother Steve who was just a toddler. I laughed so hard I was crying!

Sorry for your loss. Mavis was a big part of helping us all become who we are today! Mavis will be missed by us and everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her.
