Mabee, Gordon Perry

Passed away peacefully at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, September 11^th, 2019 in his 89^th year. Beloved husband of Shirley Mabee (nee Coveyduck) for 65 years. Much loved father of Cynthia Newhall (Kirk), Michael Mabee (Sue) and Jane Doucette (Rick). Loving grandfather of Amanda Newhall (Brent), Christopher Mabee (Angie), Samantha Mabee (Josh), Jason and Michael Matthews.   Gord is predeceased by his siblings Zerviah Mariano, Oliver, Jean and Frederick.  He will be dearly missed by his many family and friends. The family would like to offer a special thank you to all the staff at Trillium Manor, Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital -  Harvie 4, Dr. Fagan and Dr. Rob Cambridge for their loving care of Gord.  Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to Celebrate Gordon’s Life will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St. E. Orillia on Saturday September 28^th 2019 at 1 p.m. Reception to follow. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Society IPod Program, Trillium Manor or to the Orillia Heritage Center through the Simcoe Funeral Home.
