Gord and I were friends in early childhood; we met on what I think must have been the first day of kindergarten, on the road on the way to the school, accompanied by our mothers. (I remember his parents well too.) One sunny day he and I discussed what we thought heaven would be like, and Gord said he envisaged it as an endless peanut butter sandwich. I don't remember what I said; I was probably too busy trying to imagine Gordon's concept. Bon appetit, Gord.
