Rudy was a man of class and humbleness.Often he would play on stage with other fiddlers and when he did we knew immediately that we were privileged and in the presence of one of the greats of Canadian fiddle champions. Condolences to his partner in life, Priscilla and also to his family. We will miss you Rudy.

Both Rudy and Bill, through their wonderful fiddling and kind humility, were a great inspiration to me in learning to play violin. As a teen, I met Bill up north once at a square dance and, even though I was just learning, he was very encouraging and allowed me to play a tune. It made my day.
