Obituary of Yvonne Christina Jones

Jones: Yvonne Christina (nee Veitch)

Peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday December 26th, 2018 at age 83.  Beloved wife of Fred Jones for 60 years.  Forever in the hearts of her children Kim (Paul), Barb (Lance), Steven (Jill) and Scott (Barb), 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Pre deceased by sister Shirley and brother Ross.   Graduate of the Orillia School of Nursing, Class of ’57. After retirement she enjoyed time spent with the Snow Bunnies.

Many stories will be remembered of time shared with family and friends whether at home or on adventures fishing and hunting. Thanks to the Bayshore nurses who cared for her at home. Visitation will held at the Simcoe Funeral Home 38 James Street E Orillia on Friday January 4th from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heritage United Church, Alzheimer’s Society of Simcoe County or to the VON – Orillia would be appreciated.    Messages of condolences are also welcomed at www.simcoefuneralhome.ca
