Dewaele, Jacques Henri

Passed away peacefully at Birchmere Retirement Residence, Orillia on Thursday December 13^th, 2018 in his 86^th year. Beloved husband of the late Antoinette (nee Priem). Loving father of Daniele Dewaele, and Paul Dewaele (Janet). Proud grandfather of Maykal (Stacy), Jami, Alexander, and Samantha. Dear brother of Jacqueline (Michel). Born in Belgium (Desselgem), Jacques emigrated with his young family to Canada in 1957 and was a long-time resident of Sarnia.  He was proud of his work and friends in the construction industry, a talented accordion player and thought often of his days fishing on the Maitland River. Cremation has taken place. A family service will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Maitland Conservation Foundation through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St. E Orillia.
