Backus, Steven “Steve”

A resident of Washington, WV USA died unexpectedly on December 6, 2018 at the age of 68 while visiting his daughter in Ontario. He was born in Parkersburg WV, a son of the late Forrest D. Backus and Peggy (Carez) Wildman.

He graduated from Parkersburg South High School and retired from Bell Canada.

He is survived by his son Ryan (Lindsay) Backus; daughter Kelsi (Wayne) Graves; grandchildren Alani, Taten, Beau and Cali; and sisters Charlotte (Dave) White and Sherri Wildman Hisey (Ron).

A small funeral service was held on December 9, 2018 at 1 PM at Simcoe Funeral Home for immediate family. Another funeral service will be Wednesday 2:00 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Bob Watkins officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Home Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM.
