Passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Friday November 9th, 2018 in her 75th year. Beloved wife of Kenneth McCarty for 55 years. Loving mother of Kimberly Wynn (John), Kevin McCarty (Melanie), and Kelly McCarty (John Gill). Proud grandmother of Erin (Shawn), Ashlee (Patrick), Mackenzie (Magdolena), Madison, Lane, Abbigale, Mason, Mark (Amanda), Chantel (Justin), Jasminn, and Cheyanne. Cherished great grandmother of Teeghan, Faith, Bentlee, Jaymes, Kenny, and the late Sophie. Dear sister of John Sherman. Rita will be lovingly remembered by many family and friends. Rita’s family wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the staff at the Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital for all of their compassionate care. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St. E. Orillia on Tuesday November 13th from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in chapel of the Simcoe Funeral Home on Wednesday November 14th 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Highland Memory Gardens, North York.
