Hemsworth, Harold

Passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Hospice in Chatham on Sunday September 2nd 2018 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of the late Joyce Hemsworth (nee Brickwood) for 63 years. Loving father of Debra Ford (Glenn), Brian Hemsworth (Fran), Alan Hemsworth (Marla), and the late infant Douglas Hemsworth. Cherished grandfather of Brandy (Scott), Aaron (Trish), Jessica (Brent), and Nathan (Madison); great grandfather of Gavin Scott, Catherine Joyce and Olivia Margaret. Harold is predeceased by his siblings Dennis and Frank Hemsworth; Alice Jibson and Ruth Ferguson.   Harold will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.  Harold was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa, uncle, neighbor and friend-who will be dearly missed.  Harold was a proud 30 year veteran of the OPP.  Special thanks to the staff at Chatham-Kent Hospice for their care, support and smiles.

Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St. E Orillia on Friday September 7th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Saturday September 8th, at 11 a.m.. Followed by a reception. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County, Chatham-Kent Hospice or to a charity of your choice.
