I met him at Twin Lakes S.S. when I went back to high school to get my grade 12 diploma as an adult.

My sincere condolences go to Eric’s family. Upon hearing the news only yesterday (August 22) of his passing I remembered the many years we worked tirelessly together in the creation of his dream - The Career Center-in Barrie.
Eric’s visions were driven from his heart and his compassion to help others. His legacy continues to help thousands of people every year. He was highly regarded as an honest man with the highest level iof integrity.
I will forever value the time we worked together, overcame challenges to meet goals to serve others, cry and laugh in the pursuit of excellence in client service delivery and celebrate the achievements of many who walked through the doors of the Barrie Career Center.
Rest in peace Eric. You made a difference in all the lives you touched and you will be remembered.

Dear Donna and family,
The only time I met Eric was in our mutual doctors' office, but I'm aware of his outstanding reputation as an intelligent, caring and committed professional and family man. I regret that I was unable to attend his memorial service where I'm sure I would have learned more about his life of commitment and accomplishment.
What a struggle the last few years have been; particularly difficult given his love of sports and outdoor physical activity.

I was so sorry to hear of Eric's passing. I had only intermittent dealings with him during my working life with the government, but was always impressed by what a wonderful, intelligent, and caring individual he was. I'm very glad he had so many happy years of retirement in Parry Sound. My condolences to his family and close friends. He will be remembered and missed.

We will always remember the summer of moving the cabin north on hwy 69 and sleeping butt to butt in that small space; games of canasta and the rehash of every hand. However, Eric's infectious laugh will perhaps be our most vivid memory.

Dear Donna and Family
My sincerest condolences. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Eric's passing. He was a true visionary and leader who has left a lasting legacy in field adult education and career development. Very few of us have accomplished what Eric was able to do in his stellar career with SCDSB. He was a great gentleman with a wonderful sense of humour who was respected and adored by those who worked with him. I had honour of working under his tutelage at the BLC and it was the highlight of my career. He touch so many lives over the years and we are all the better for it. It is nice to imagine that he is reunited with Peter and Rod and that these three giants of adult ed are tipping a cool one together once again.

My sincere condolences to Eric's wife Donna and his family. I worked with Eric for thirteen years at Twin Lakes. His dedication to the students and consideration for staff was always so admirable. Though I moved to the US twenty seven years ago and worked in numerous school districts,Eric stands out among the rest. He was my measure of how a Guidance Head should serve-and Eric did this with compassion and humour. I am saddened to learn he is gone. My prayers are sent today for all who loved Eric.
