Remembering a wonderful person

Dear Dorothy- I only just learned of Jacks passing and I am so sorry. I regret I was not able to get to Barrie to see you both. Jack and Eleanor were like parents to myself and my late husband Gary. I have so many happy memories, Jack was such a wonderful person. When I met you after my father passed away I could see Jack was smittent by you,I was so glad he was able to meet such a lovely person as yourself. Good bye Jack -love always Wendy

Jack was one of the great ones at RAA Canada. Jack was the President who set up the Inspection program and worked with Transport Canada to have this accepted. He was a man who could get things done, and without him there would have been an end to amateur aviation in Canada.
When I later became a Board member, at a time when the Association had fallen into disrepair, Jack became my mentor and gave me the history of the Association and the encouragement to move ahead with its reorganization.
Jack was so strong and determined that I thought that he would live forever. I will miss him.

It is with great sadness that we the community of Roberta Place Retirement Lodge extend our deepest condolences to Jack's family and friends. Jack's humour, wit, and ability to make anyone smile will not be forgotten. He will be truly missed by all.
