Dorothy was well known for her great sense of humour, owning the Dalrymple General Store, and loving the Blue Jays and the Hamilton Tiger Cats (well that's how I remember it anyway). She came with me on a school bus trip to see the Blue Jay's play, and a few years later I worked for her at the Dalrymple store. While I was working she would take time off to 'get rid of the killer dust bunnies before they attacked' and did the ironing (starch and all). A story I recall hearing : A group of three guys, hoodlums, were walking and one of them flashed Dorothy. Later she saw them walk by her store so she yelled out to him 'Hey I know you. You flashed me earlier.' He tried to deny it but she told him she would recognize him anywhere and next time, she advised him, he should get one of his friends to do it because it was not impressive at all! I know that many loved ones have passed before her but I picture Dorothy having a really good laugh with her buddy Phyllis Davis. With love, Maureen
